Everyone wants beautiful skin. And sometimes all we need is a trick or two that will clear our skin right up. Hello flawless! First things first, before any product or facial the #1 way to keep your skin healthy and looking beautiful is to have lots of sleep, water and exercise!!
The Basics.
1. Physical activity is faaantastic for your skin, the blood flow helps rejuvenate and nourish skin. And all that sweat gets out dirt from in your pores.
2. Get lots and lots of sleep – nothing helps your body more than sleep. But NEVER sleep with your makeup on. Sometimes I know we are exhausted after work or coming home late from the bar. Nothing is worse for your face then leaving beauty products on over night.
3.Water. The 8×8 rule = everyday you should be drinking 8 glasses of 8ounces. Or more simply about 2 litres.
The cleanser. Every morning or night you should be doing a face cleanse to get out all the dirt from the day. Remember you want a cleanser that feels good on your face – pick what works best for you! Be careful how much you wash your face everyday – even though we think its nice to have our face always feeling raw and fresh our natural oils are very good to keep our skin hydrated and nourished.
Pamper.Facial masks. Try some natural remedies when you need extra care, check out for avocado inspiration!
Make up Breaks. If you’re a foundation junky don’t forget break days!
Foods to avoid. Good news chocolate isn’t one! Dairy is at the top of the list – it is really awful for your face because of the hormones it carries. Sugar – obviously. Soybeans carry estrogens that have negative effects on our skin – this means tofu and soy sauce, sorry ☹. Coffee and bread are also triggers for acne.
Exfoliate. 2-3 times a week it’s a good idea to exfoliate your skin to remove all of the dead skin built up during the week. You can buy an exfoliating scrub or use an exfoliating brush! After your face is nice and clean – put on your favourite beauty products. I enjoy a simple moisturizer paired with a nice face massage.
Bad Spots. Try Tea tree oil for those annoying spots – way better for you than chemicals.
Hopefully you’ll find a new trick that helps you – let us know your skin secrets!
