Get Raya Ready With Zahara: Fifth Avenue Glam

The countdown begins! We are now one week away from Hari Raya and we hope much of your preparations have been arranged! This week we have another get Raya ready with Zahara and we’re doing a Fifth Avenue Glam look.

Thanks to our lovely model, Zahara’s very own Community Manager, Juliana, we will be matching her stunning pastel green Raya Baju with a bold eye look. We felt since her Baju is light and bright, we have the opportunity to play around with a darker eye even for the daytime.

The main idea here is to ensure the look is not too overpowering from the beautiful green. To do this, we will keep the eyes bold and add a light wash of colour on her lips with a neutral pink shade.

We used the Zahara Fifth Avenue Eyeshadow Palette with tons of lovely shades of greys and black. We paired the look with the Longwear Eyeliner in Onyx, Daredevil Lashes Mascara, Matte Lip Cream in Girl Next Door and of course the Zahara Oxygen Nail Polish in Miss Maccha and Arctic Queen.

1. Not only did we bake Juliana’s under-eyes, we also applied some loose powder over her eyelids to mattify and ensure the eyeshadows stay put all day long.
   
   
2. With the Zahara Fifth Avenue Palette, dip into ‘Gun Metal’ and apply all over the lower part of your lid. Towards, the outer edge of your eye, lightly drag out the shade to create a flatter airbrushed and winged out effect.
   
   
3. Next, blend out the harsh line between the ‘Gun Metal’ shadow and the lid with the shade ‘Silver’ on a fluffy blending brush. Be sure to apply very little pressure in the beginning and slowly build up until desired.
   
   
4. A great way to get the perfect even cat liner, is to trace an outline with a black shadow. We used ‘Define’ to map out roughly where we want the eyeliner to go.
   
   
5. Apply the Longwear Eyeliner in Onyx over your outline. To ensure it is budge-proof, apply another layer of ‘Define’ over Onyx and your liner won’t be running anywhere.
   
   
6. If you’re obsessed with lashes just as much as we are, start firstly with curling your lashes. Then, go in with our favourite Daredevil Lashes Mascara that will help lock in that curl for the entire day.
   
   
7. To ensure that the eyes remain the focal point of this look, we opted for ‘Girl Next Door’ as our ideal lip shade.
   
   
8. Dust off your bake to complete your look with some glow!
   
   
9. We went in with ‘Snow’ for the perfect icy-toned highlight shade. We applied this all over her cheekbones to make them pop and also her cupid’s bow to give an illusion of fuller lips.
   
   
10. Finally, Juliana paired her Baju to match her nails with our very own ‘Miss Maccha’ and ‘Arctic Queen’
