2016 has just passed and for most, it has not been a good year. In fact, based on general consensus, it has been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year. And we’re exceedingly happy to have waved goodbye to it and welcomed 2017 with open arms. Just surf the InterWeb and check out the countless memes and images about 2016 floating around. While some are LOL funny (such as Evil Kermit and Me at the beginning of 2016 VS me at the end) and happy (the number of tigers are rising!), some are sobering (outbreak of Zika, Trump and the ongoing Syrian civil war).
You know it’s been a bad year when even Pantone wants a fresh start! HAHA! As we settle in the new year, Pantone’s Colour of Year 2017 looks set to help us embrace change and new beginnings. And I admit, the zesty yellow-green shade is a bit cheerier than what I originally predicted. Here are some of the hilarious tweets that surfaced:
It seems 2017 would be Kermit’s year then. And looking at the rise of Kermit memes the past few years, Kermit is here to stay. To read more about Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2017, click here. To get into the GREENERY mood, why not add a dash of green to your nails? Miss Matcha is perfect for that, don’t you think?
