The 58th Grammy Music Awards has just passed and what a star-studded event it was. However, the Grammys’ red carpet fashion was a more low-key and understated event as compared to last year. It’s as if all the stars decided to focus on their music instead of the fashion and the result was a more conservatively glamourous event rather than one filled with crazy, over-the-top outfits. We saw a lot of black and white on the red carpet, with a few splashes of colour; courtesy of Lady Gaga, Ellie Gouldingand Taylor Swift.
Speaking of Taylor Swift, if the stars were the cast of Mean Girls, then she would be Regina George, the queen bee. Well, a lovelier, awesomely awkward and feminist queen bee that is. She stole the limelight during the Grammys last Monday by arriving on the red carpet together with her BFF IRL, Selena Gomez, performing the opening act with her latest hit, ‘Out of the Woods’ and going home with three Grammys. But her best and boldest moment has got to be during her acceptance speech for ‘Best Album of the Year’ (where she is also the first woman to win twice in this category!).
