A self-professed creative person, Mina Rosli is no stranger to fame. As a host for TV9 (in Malay, no less!), she’s in the spotlight constantly. Besides her TV job, she also a producer for Studio 8, a photographer, a beauty vlogger and a social medial influencer. Phew, this is one heckuva hardworking Zahara Warrior! With over 40k Instagram followers and close to a million views on YouTube, it seems we’re not the only ones in love with the talented and gorgeous Mina. What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m from Klang! Hahahaha! Ao many people would have never thought that I would have been from Klang.

Korean fried chicken… yummy. *slurps*
What inspired you to start your own Youtube channel?
After my diploma, I took a year deferment from furthering my degree so I decided to record videos of makeup how to’s/tutorials. I already had the equipment so thought why not give it a go and see where it goes. I’m so glad I did!
What’s the funniest/craziest/weirdest moment you’ve had as a YouTuber?
The craziest definitely has to be when my favourite brands approach me for a collaboration. It can be such a dream come true when the makeup brand you’ve been using since a kid recognizes you and is as equally excited to work together with you.
You have mad skills as a photographer! Which photographers are you inspired by?
I don’t have a specific photographer but I adore film photography. I started my photography journey with a film camera so I’ve always been inspired by specific types of film photos and then base my own photography style from that.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
I see myself being incredibly successful with my career and having the financial security to work from home with my 3 cats. I don’t really want much from life but the freedom to do what I love without having to worry about it financially.
What should every woman try at least once in her life?
I think every woman should try weightlifting. It sounds funny but hear me out! It’s a great form of exercise. You can build muscle and lose fat! I started weightlifting not too long ago and can feel the difference it’s done to my body. I took a break because I got sick so I’m recuperating but can’t wait to start again. Women should definitely try lifting weights as exercise.
What is the proudest accomplishment of your life so far?
It definitely has to be moving out of my family home without any help from anyone. I found myself a job, saved up most of my salary and moved out immediately. I’m so proud of myself because I worked hard for what I want and I paid everything by myself. *pats self*
Just like us, you’re a makeup addict! What’s a makeup no-no?
My makeup no-no has to be foundation that doesn’t match your skin tone or neck. I understand it’s hard finding your exact shade but please don’t buy a foundation that’s 3 shades lighter than your natural skin tone because you don’t like your normal skin color.
If you were stuck on a deserted island, which three beauty items would you bring with you?
I would bring sunscreen so that I don’t get skin cancer, beauty oil to nourish my skin and aloe vera just in case I get sunburnt but if possible, I wouldn’t want to be stuck on a deserted island. That shit scary!

A beautiful woman is someone who is kind to herself and understands that she’s not always perfect so she gives herself room to grow and blossom.
