Saima Chowdhury
Our beautiful and stylish Zahara Warrior!

Describe yourself in 3 words.
Positive, confident and funny (if I do say so myself lol!).

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m terrified of frogs!

You’re currently living in Birmingham right now. Any cool spots we should know of if we’re visiting your hometown?
We have an awesome place called The Custard Factory where they have a bunch of really cool and quirky shops and cafes!

Saima Chowdhury
It’s not a “real” photo with friends if you ain’t making funny faces!

What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
LISTEN TO FATIMA (my best friend)! She’s always right about everything and always looks out for me.

What inspired you to start your own blog and Youtube channel?
I used to watch a lot of YouTube videos as a kid and loved that they made people smile! I was always interested in filming and editing and I love making people laugh so I though I’d give it a shot. It originally started as a comedy/chat channel but now I also make style videos.

Saima Chowdhury
One fierce and stylish hijabi!

How has the experience been thus far?
Interesting for sure! I’ve learnt a lot – not just about blogging/YouTube but about life in general.

What’s the funniest/craziest/weirdest moment you’ve had as a blogger/YouTuber?
I haven’t had any weird moments but I’ve had a really sweet one! I held a meet-and-greet once with a few other bloggers and a girl gave me a really sweet letter. She told me to read it at home but I couldn’t wait any longer so I decided to read it on the train home and I was in tears because it was so sweet. I still have that letter on my desk today.

Saima Chowdhury
Excuse me while I take off my shades s-l-o-w-l-y…

As a Zahara Warrior, what advice would you give someone hoping to be a blogger/YouTuber like yourself?
Be yourself! Theres a lot of pressure in the creative industry to be a certain way. I think people forget that the most important thing that helps you not only in this industry but in life, is your individuality. Don’t lose sight of who you are.

You have mad skills as a photographer! Which photographers are you inspired by?
Thank you! I love Annie Leibovitz and Lara Jade

Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
This one is hard to answer because there’s SO much I want to do! Hopefully I’ve checked a bunch of stuff off my bucket list!

Saima Chowdhury
Saima and her husband, Tahell, epitomises #relationshipgoals!

What should every woman try at least once in her life?
A konjac sponge! I add a bit of facial cleanser to mine and then scrub my face with it. It’s super gentle and it leaves your face feeling so silky smooth and LUSH!

What is the proudest accomplishment of your life so far?
Being on CBBC! I used to watch that channel all the time as a kid and it’s just mind-blowing that I’m actually on there now!

Saima Chowdhury
Rocking an all-black gothic ensemble!

Complete this sentence: A beautiful woman is someone who _____.
LOVES HERSELF!

If you haven’t followed Saima on her social media yet, do so now! Her Instagram, Facebookblog and Youtube channel is filled with pretty things! Watch out for a collab we’re doing with this gorgeous Zahara Warrior for a makeup tutorial video on YouTube!
