Who doesn’t love Disney, amirite? Combine that with Dolce & Gabanna’s fondness for drama and theatrics, and you have the label’s Ready-To-Wear Fall Collection 2016. The theme was fairy tales and D & G pulled out all the stops by creating a wonderland filled with gothic chandeliers, enchanted carriages and clocks striking midnight (à la Cinderella).
“Today, every girl wants to be a princess. And today, everything is possible for the young generation!” Stefano Gabbana said at the preview. He and his partner, Domenico Dolce, don’t just see themselves as designers but also as fashion storytellers. “We know how the world is today. Fashion makes people dream—this is the service fashion gives,” Gabbana stated.
