Potterheads, rejoice! J.K. Rowling, the author as legendary as the Boy Wizard himself, will be releasing a series of e-books through her website Pottermore next month. Wait, what? Next month?! Yes, you read it right…in September (which is just, like, next week.) Rowling’s new Harry Potter books will delve into the dark side of the Wizarding World, particularly of a certain wizarding school. The three books are called Short Stories from Hogwarts: Of Power, Politics And Pesky PoltergeistsHogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide and Short Stories from Hogwarts: Of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies

If you’re interested in the villains of the wizarding world (I am!) like the origins of Dolores Umbridge and Voldemort, as well as Azkaban Prison, be sure to pick up Short Stories from Hogwarts: Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists. For secrets of the famous (or infamous) wizarding school with its ever-moving staircases, check out Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide. The last book, Short Stories from Hogwarts: Of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies, shines the spotlight on our favourite magical teachers like Professor Minerva McGonagall, Remus Lupin and Kettleburn.

This isn’t the first time Rowling has released in-universe stories that accompany her original Potter books. 2007’s The Tales of Beedle Bard and 2001’s Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them are almost as popular as the series itself. Almost. Also, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, published just last month, is the eighth story in the series and the inaugural HP story to be staged.

Collectively titled ‘Pottermore Presents’, the three upcoming stories will launch as ebooks on the Pottermore website on September 6. To get yourself psyched till that day, here’s the trailer for the next big HP event, the movie release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! *squeals*
